The average person spends 14 years in the school education system to develop their intellect but at what cost; your creativity and imagination?

What is creativity?

Creativity can be viewed as a composite skill, involving creation of original and innovative ideas. These skills help resolve various daily life situations and hence becomes and essential skill in the adaptation process of an individual in a rapidly, ever-changing society. In a broad sense, creativity emerges out of creation of authentic and unique products that have an enhanced value due to their usefulness and applicability (1).

Some say, humans develop creativity. It is influenced by experience, education, social interactions, environment and many other factors. Thus, each evolutionary stage or age in a person’s life contributes to the creative process. Creativity is an essential and complex process.

The process involves different areas of the brain and requires development of cognitive functions as well as a higher order thought process, to identify problems and present alternate solution to achieve end product (1).
