Are mantras mind projections?

Imagine that you look at your watch and you suddenly see that time has escaped you. To your surprise it is already midday. You stop and realize that your morning has been filled with chaos and distraction. We all have those days where we fill over fill our cup and our “mess” spills everywhere. You wonder why you have yet to produce anything meaningful in your day?

Perhaps you had an awful night’s sleep tossing and turning. The day is challenging as you lack energy and the motivation to be at your best. It doesn’t help to constantly mutter mantras such as “I’m so tired today” or “I can’t do this today I’m exhausted.” If you want to feel energetic you cannot continue using tired language. It can be that simple. Without little consideration, you constantly find yourself in the kitchen making yourself coffee after coffee. You hope that the “caffeine hit” resolves your vitality lack, however you do nothing to address the language on autopilot in you mind.

Alternately, what about when someone walks into the room and immediately impacts your state. Before any dialogue commences you already feel that things will end badly. Within a matter of minutes, this person triggers you and your back is against the wall. Something said grates you. A particular word can be enough to get you to immediately react. A tiger in the jungle you swiftly pounce! Your habitual ways have you…
